In the Autumn 2024 edition of the Parish Council’s newsletter, the Chair, Karen Bland wrote:
“I’d like to begin by thanking everyone who nominated a worthy group or individual for our Annual Community Service Award. We had an incredible amount of entries this year and congratulations to the amazing and diverse group of people nominated, we are lucky to have you all in our community. But there can be only one winner, and this year’s award goes to Mr Christopher Jobson. At a lovely harvest festival church service in Colemere, on the 65th anniversary of him first playing the organ at a service, it was an honour to present Chris with his award, recognising his contribution to both musical and historical culture in our parish.”
